It Wouldn’t Be Sea Otter Without Weather

Sea Otter Expo on Saturday

It wouldn’t really be a proper Sea Otter without the weather playing a part. And it showed up in a big way on Saturday. It rained the hardest I’ve ever seen at Laguna Seca in over ten years of attending all kinds of events. Races and qualifying were postponed, people ran for cover, photographers cowered, and mud happened. It was beautiful.

I was actually suprised by the weather. This was my second year at the Otter, and 2007 was deffinately nicer than last year. At least this year there were a couple days of sunshine. Last year was a wicked mudfest… but a straight three hours of torrential downpour this year did make the Seca feel like home~
