Jeremiah Bishop pulls the front of the pack up to the top of the first big climb, at the start of the first of two 20-mile laps. Looking like they’re out for a Sunday ride (they are), Geoff Kabush, leads on the second lap and took the win in the pro men’s XC race, beating Jean Christophe Peraud of the Orbea team by only one-tenth of a second.

Awesome, awesome photos. That clearly shows the breakaway of 5 that occured. Just like a a road race, those 5 worked to fight the winds on the long straights.
The winner was Geoff Kabush on a sprint finish!!!
On the women’s race though, very different outcome. Strategy went out the window as Georgia Gould rode away from the field with a 4-minute win.
I have women’s photos, too. Georgia was way out on her own when she came by me on the second lap. And I don’t recall any real packs of women working together. They were pretty much all racing alone.
Such a stark contrast to the kind of photos/conditions you’ll get at places like Mount Snow
